Following the success of last years event Cork City Council is proud to present CYCLE CHIC 2009.
Last years event reflected the spirit of the streets of Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Paris where cycling is an important part of everyday life.The fashion shows chief aim was to persuade the general public that cycling could indeed be deemed trendy, stylish and fashionable. European and local designers showcased their latest innovations of trendy bicycles, smart clothes and funky accessories. The show displayed an impressive array of designs which delighted the attending audience. The event was free and needless to say every seat was occupied.
What's Happening?
CYCLE CHIC 2009 is expanding on last years event by incorporating more works from Irish Fashion Designers and Irish companies specialising in bicycle products. Cork City Council is again organising the event within the TRENDY TRAVEL's promotional scheme on cycling, which is supported by INTELLIGENT ENERGY EUROPE - European Program. The fashion event will take place during Design Week, a national event which celebrates design and creativity.
